Waring Pro CO900B Professional 8/9-Cubic-Foot Convection Oven Review

I purchased this oven to off-load our main oven of the smaller cooking tasks.The oven does work well, but the door seal has failed 4 times since I purchased it in November of 2009.I've made complaints to Waring about this issue.Each time they sent me two different seals, one too large and one that fits snugly.And, every time after about a week of light usage, the seal falls apart.

Now that I've been dealing with Waring over this on-going issue, my window for return at Amazon has expired and I am left with an unusable boat anchor sitting on my counter.Because of this I cannot recommend anyone purchase this oven.This makes me suspicious of other Waring products as well.Some thoughts from a not too happy customer.

West Bend 74706 Countertop Oven with Rotisserie Attachment Review

Just received our West Bend 74706 and tried it right out. Be advised to wipe it down inside and out for dust and then heat it up empty for about 15 minutes as it may smoke a bit as it heats up for the first time. First to note that it is built extremely solid. I've looked at every oven like this at Costco, WalMart, Sears, etc and not one had the solidity that this one has. The handle on the West Bend is rock solid as is the entire build quality of this model. Many other model's handles flex up and down considerably during use and I question how long they would last. We also like the analog dials rather then digital (and easier to see if you use reading glasses and want to avoid hard-to-read digital displays). Low tech adds up to ease of use and less that can go wrong over time! It also means more $$ went into the rest of the oven design and quality, not into hight tech controls! Also to note, YES!, this is a convection model which allows faster cook times and much more uniform heating across the oven. The oven convection fan and motor do emit a hum of sorts, but, nothing that is loud and annoying. We've baked chicken in it and tried the toaster function as well. Cook times were fast for the boneless chicken and the texture was perfect, still moist and not charred like some smaller ovens can do since the meat, etc., is too darn close to the cooking elements in those smaller models. Convection also allows lower heat output and more heat element cycling (not on 100% of the time) to allow reduced electricity consumption.Toast takes no more time then a normal toaster and browns very uniformly across the oven. The oven's profile is smaller then we expected (a plus for a limited counter spot) and yet it will hold a 12" pizza pan or a 5X9 cook pan. The oven seems well insulated as well and does a great job at holding in the heat where it needs to be. We haven't tried the rotisserie yet, but, the hardware included is like the rest of this oven, well made and solid. With very limited use as of yet, my feeling is that we'll continue to praise this model as we use it more and that it deserves the high ratings most owners gave it. It'll do it all and use only 110V in the process versus that 220V oven you use for a small item that could go in the West Bend instead. It's a keeper!

This 3 in 1 Breakfast Machine contains a toaster oven, hot plate, and coffee maker. All the items are smaller than if you bought them separately, but if you are tight on space this is definitely handy.

The toaster oven was probably the biggest negative. It is only wide enough to fit 1 slice of break. Fortunately there is a top burner and a bottom burner so you can stack 2 pieces of bread on top of each other and flip them in the middle of cooking.

I cooked eggs in a basket on the hotplate and it cooked the egg in about 5 or 6 mins.

I also have the FC150R and it looks identical to this. Paid $70 locally.

If you think this will replace your oven or your microwave, you're wrong. It will replace your toaster oven. It does one heck of a job of that, though.

I've found that cooking frozen meat items in this thing sometimes leads to burning the tops. I'm trying to learn the settings better and hopefully will adjust for this in the future. Otherwise I've read covering with aluminum foil will prevent the IR waves from burning the top. It's a new way of cooking, so you have to learn how to work with it.

Anything I've cooked that was defrosted cooked up nicely. Thorough heating, crispy or browned outside.

The advertising will tell you its the next great thing and you don't need an oven anymore. Well, not so much. I still use my regular oven to bake things. I use a Microwave/Convection Oven combo to cook frozen foods, etc... (convection is perfect for those) We bought this to replace our ailing toaster oven. Seems like these days they fall into this price range, anyway. This one had better features than the rest.

This oven heats up immediately and cooks FAST. Once you learn how to work it right, it is wonderful. Be prepared to burn some stuff in the beginning. If you keep in mind it will act like a toaster oven on steroids, you'll be fine.

Toastess TTO-506 Silhouette Stainless-Steel Convection Toaster Oven Review

I received this oven very quickly from Ritz Camera. I had contacted them to say the dimensions shown must be incorrect since the height is given as 18.6" which from the picture obviously cannot be right - it cannot be taller than it is wide. The company who makes this oven confirmed the real dimensions which are: Width 17" X Depth 13" (to fit a 12"pizza) and height just 9".
Obviously the true dimensions are better than those given. Who wants a toaster oven over 18" tall?
The oven seems well made and after only one use the fan assisted oven seems to work efficiently and quietly. It was however covered in annoying stickers which are difficult, time-consuming and messy to remove. The pinger or bell when the auto-timer shuts off is almost inaudible. Also, there is no interior light as advertised.
I would give the product 5 stars if it had a continuous clean oven coating. I will update this when it has had some use.

Toastmaster TOV320 4-Slice Toaster Oven Broiler Review

This was just about the cheapest toaster oven I came across in my search, but so far it's worked really well. This one, the TOV320, is a replacement for the older TOV200 model. I bought it mainly for cooking frozen pizzas and the like, because my regular kitchen oven isn't working. Of course a toaster oven of this size can only cook half of a 10- or 11-inch frozen pizza, but it does it really well. I've been making mine right on the wire rack, without using a pan or cookie sheet (as is sometimes recommended in the pizza instructions - though the metal broiler pan that comes with the oven can be used if you like softer crust). The pizzas cook up perfectly every time - lightly browned on the top, and a little crispy on the bottom. This oven, despite its price, seems to have a really effective thermostat that cycles the heating elements on and off during cooking, so it heats very evenly. It toasts well too. It's also very compact - even smaller than I guessed when I ordered it, but still roomy enough inside for my purposes. Some people may require a bit more interior space, both vertical and horizontal, but it fits well into my tiny kitchen, so I can't complain. Yes, the metal exterior gets very warm during cooking, but what can one expect with a tiny appliance that heats to 450 degrees? Nonetheless, it seems to operate very simply, straightforwardly, and safely. (Yes, I've heard about the dangers with other cheap toaster ovens, but this doesn't seem to be one of them. Knock on wood!) All in all, a very good buy thusfar.

Kalorik MW 26146 Steam Microwave Oven with Real Convection Review

I needed a new microwave and since I have limited space I liked that this oven served several purposes. I even waited a couple of months for it.I did try to find more info but found little on the internet and it wasn't available at a local store.My first impression when I opened it was how cheep it looked.The outside in mostly plastic.I worry each time I fill the water tank or empty the waste water tank that they will break and cost a fortune to replace.I haven't cleaned the steam generator yet but it requires decalcification every 20 uses andcompartment is opening required a screwdriver.Cleaning instructions also direct cleaning 9 holes with a soft cloth & vinegar and I can't find the holes referred to. When I opened the door it scraped (I think the parts were not smooth finished).The controls are not intuitive and I find them difficult. The cooking instruction take up 19 pages.When I used the microwave function there was a annoying rattling noise.I contacted customer service via email and after suggesting several obvious causes they went to the warehouse to check and found it to be normal.When you microwave most things you are hit with steam when you open the door.Also the power is low so things take longer.I don't use the other items as often as I thought I would.It is just easier to do these functions the standard way.The convection function doest seem to save time.The inside cavity is not large and many item I use to use in the microwave I can no long use.The window is not as clear as the picture indicates. I would return it if I could.I will never buy another item online that costs this much without an unlimited satisfaction guarantee including shipping costs.

Black & Decker TRO700S 4-Slice Toast-R-Oven, Stainless Steel Review

It's hard to really know what you're getting when you buy a toaster oven on-line, sight unseen.This is an appliance that gets used frequently, so it is a good idea to see it first-hand.I chose to buy this at a local appliance store that sells it cheaper than here.But unfortunately, I had to return it--TWICE.

I looked around at a number of convection toasters, and this one seemed to fit the bill--decent quality, attractive design, good crumb guards over the heating elements, nice size for cooking a variety of things, and the Black & Decker name.My previous Black & Decker toaster oven lasted me over 10 years, so I was partial to the brand.WAS.

My first test was to check out the convection feature.I clicked the convection switch--nothing happened.On-off-on-off-on... off.Nothing. I tried it again with the oven on/off and the toaster on/off.Still nothing.It was completely dead.I called up Black & Decker and told them about it, hoping there might be some trick to it.Nope--my unit was defective.I decided to try it anyway.

I put in a London broil and turned on the oven.It heated up reasonably fast and did a superb job.I never thought you could cook a steak so nicely in one of these toaster ovens (less time and less energy than a full oven).I was a little dismayed at how much heat is transferred to the outside (it's easy to burn yourself on that stainless steel), but I was willing to overlook that.

The next day, I brought it back to the store to get a replacement--I figured I had just hit a little bad luck.I had the clerk open the box and plug it in first, so I could see if the convection fan was working (just in case the whole shipment the store got was defective).It did.I was happy and walked off with my new unit.

The next day I decided to make some toast.I looked at the dials and realized I needed to read the instructions.The design is a little quirky, in that the oven temperature control doubles as a control to choose whether the oven or toaster features will be used.There's also a dial labeled "timer", but it's only used for the oven.Most toaster ovens I've seen in the past have one control to set the intensity (light, medium, dark) and another to turn it on.This uses one dial that turns on the toaster as you rotate it to the desired toasting intensity, and it should countdown (like the oven timer) until it reaches "off".

I turned the dial to 'medium', as suggested by the instructions, put in the toast, and walked away to do something else for a few minutes. When I came back in the room, the toast was burnt to a crisp and the dial was still on 'medium'--it didn't move at all.I turned it off... then turned it on.Yep, there's no ticking sound, as heard from the timer for the oven function.I played with the dial a little more and could coax it to tick for a second or two, but then it would stop.DEFECTIVE AGAIN.

Well, that's it.Fool me once, shame on you, fool me twice, shame on me (yep, that's the cliche Bush couldn't get right).I brought it back to the store and gave up.I decided my time was not worth toying with a $60 appliance.I'm going to spend more this time and get something that WORKS reliably, has good heat insulation, and logical controls.

So, here's what I didn't like about this unit:
1) Encountering TWO defects, one in each unit I tried.This is shameful, Black & Decker.
2) The controls don't feel like good quality.I also don't like the ticking sound (when it works).It's disturbing if you're trying to read the newspaper next to this thing.
3) The stainless steel exterior gets extremely hot.You can easily burn yourself on it, as well as anything nearby.My old cheap Black & Decker toaster oven got hot, but not this bad--and it cooled off fast, while this TRO700S model remains hot for a long while.This is just downright dangerous.
4) The door doesn't have any rubber cushioning--it is metal slamming up against metal.If I was going to keep this, I would apply some heat resistant rubber pieces to buffer the sound.

What I did like about it:
1) It cooks well and even.
2) It has decent crumb guards over the elements.
3) It's a nice size for what it can cook.
4) It is a good looking unit.

Unfortunately, my likes couldn't outweigh my dislikes.And the quality problems are just ridiculous.These are BASIC functions that should pass quality assurance tests, simple problems like an ON/OFF switch not working or a timer dial not turning should never leave the factory.

I contacted Black & Decker and complained about my experience.They recommended I buy another and that it "probably won't have any problems".I'm sorry to say that it will take a long while before I consider a Black & Decker ever again.

IN A NUTSHELL: WE HAVE USED THE MODEL #22205 DAILY SINCE 1997

The model 22205 is almost an exact twin of the model offered here, except it was offered for sale to us in 1997. We have 5 children and this brave little toaster has seen alot of service since 1997 without a single problem.

WHAT IT'S ALL ABOUT: 900 WATTS - WHITE ENAMEL FINISH - CRUMB TRAY

We have used and overused this little appliance and while 5 coffee makers and 3 'Foreman Grills' have worn out this toaster keeps toasting just like it always has.

CAUTION: HOT TO THE TOUCH

Like toasters of old, this one is hot to the touch with only thin metal and white baked enamel between your fingers and the red hot nichrome filaments that are powered by 900 watts of electricity. Actually, it was the 900 watts versus 7-800 watts of other toasters that got me to buy this in the first place. It even has a crumb bin! Well, 9.5 years and counting, but soon we may want to replace it for a 'cool-touch', though I think we will always keep this brave little toaster around for sentimental reasons.

Cuisinart TOB-50W Classic Toaster Oven Broiler, White and Stainless Review

Again I find myself wishing I could give a product more than one rating because this thing makes great toast. The shade adjuster is great. I'm picky about my toast's color. I found that when I had the tray inserted as pictured, the bottom of my toast burned. No problems since I've flipped the tray over. Wonderful english muffin pizzas come out of this thing too.

I'd give it 1 star for safety. Every single toaster I have ever had in my entire life has turned off immediately when the door was opened. This one does not. The heating bars inside stay red even when the door is opened. I've gotten used to hitting the "stop" button before opening the door.

As I read some of the other reviews of the Infrawave I am pretty shocked.Some people do nothing but dump on this little marvel, but I love the darn thing!I got the Infrawave about nine months or so ago, and I have never once regretted it.This thing works as well (or better) than my conventional oven for practically anything in a single serving size, which is nice for a single guy who likes to cook.

I'll admit I was a little nervous about trusting it do everything it has preset, like broiling burgers or chicken, but it really does deliver.I must use this thing at least three or four times a week as a replacement for the microwave or the oven.Probably more.Without preheating I can have good burgers in about ten minutes of turning it on, and that is fine by me. My personal favorite is having grilled hot dogs in eight minutes without actually firing up my gas grill. It isn't replacing my outdoor grill, but it's strong enough to completely cook through a stuffed pork chop without turning it into charcoal first.Another perk: it does not heat up the room at all, unlike my conventional oven.

All of that being said, it is not idiot-proof or perfect, but what is? When you are cooking with it you have to use your common sense--Am I using this thing as an oven or a toaster? If you cover your food in aluminum foil you are TOTALLY CHANGING THE EQUATION!Once you cover the food in something reflective you are more or less turning your back on most effective heating source the oven has, and the cooking time will increase.It still will work, but you can't trust the recommended times the oven wants you to use, you have to start thinking more like conventional oven cooking times.

In one other review someone mentioned that the outside of it gets very hot.It does!That is my only real gripe with this item.I would be really aware of this if I had a little one running around while I was using it.That being said, I have it sitting on a baking stand about 3 inches from the wall and I have felt the wall while it was cooking and was very comfortable that there was no danger of anything spontaneously combusting.As a matter fact I have cotton apron that is touching it most of the time while it is cooking and it's perfectly fine.As a final gripe, they could have given a ceramic or glass dish that was fitted to the inside of it, but with some shopping I found one of my own. (Works much better for baking than the metal tray given.)

So there it is; the Infrawave is a fine cooking tool.It is by no means perfect, but it is a great little oven/broiler/toaster.

Fox Run Toaster Oven Tray Review

This is very flimsy.It bends very easily; I put it in the drawer under the oven with other flat pans, and it got bent.Turn it over and you will see it is nothing more than a sheet of metal that was cheaply crimped along the edges.It looks like something I could have made in my garage with some sheet metal and some cutters.I gave it 2 stars instead of one, because at least it isn't aluminum.I believe that cooking with aluminum is reported to be bad for your health in the long run.I also bought the Duncan Hines pan, which is much better quality, and about the same size.I strongly recommend that one over this one.

Hamilton Beach Toastation - Gray/Black Review

After having an expensive toaster that I loved go bad on me (a Braun) and finding out that Braun no longer will be selling them so they could not replace it, I had to find one that would do the job as well.

The Toastation had the same size single slot as the Braun, so I figured I would try it.

While it does not toast quite as evenly as the Braun did, it is reasonably close.The toast operation is just as speedy as that was, and the added benefit is that for bigger things, or the occasional grilled cheese, I don't have to heat up the big oven, nor do I have to use up counter space for a separate toaster oven.

This version has a "cancel" button in the center of the bottom dial, so when you want to pop up your toast early, it's really easy to do, unlike the earlier model.In addition, there is insulating covering on the handle for the door, so it is much less likely to burn you after using the oven part.Another bonus is that the top is smooth on this one, so there are no seams on the top for crumbs to get caught in.It also has a crumb tray that is easily removable on the bottom of the oven.

Overall, this product definitely works for me.If it is still working in a few months (the Braun broke at 4 months!), I'll post an update.

Even after reading some of the poor reviews I decided to try the toaster on my own.In general I agree with the fact that the glass that faces the back of the handle could've been much better insulated or protected, however, as long as we keep in mind that this is an oven and should be handled with care I don't believe this is too much of a problem.The oven itself is a great machine.It heats up items thoroughly, the knobs seem to be of a good quality, it looks great in our kitchen, the convection fan is not loud, it is very roomy, and the price is not very high.As far as price goes, I reviewed some models of other brands that were in the $125.00 range which were, in my opinion, very comparable to this one in features, looks etc.I would definitely recommend this item to anyone.

Black & Decker Infrawave Oven - NEW Review

I have had this oven for about 5 months and have used it for everything: from hot dogs, to burgers, steaks, apple pie, frozen foods and even my own recipes. We love the results! so much so that even though we renovated our kitchen and got a new stove with an oven, we use that one to store pots and pans and cook everything in the InfraWave.
We love the convert button and use it for everything. The fact that we only have to enter the type of food, time and temperature that is in the regular recipe (or the packaging instructions) and it "converts" it into its time (usually half the regular time) is super easy to use. We also toast, bake and broil even frozen meats(like burgers, hotdogs and steak) and it all comes out perfectly done: juicy on the inside and grilled and brown on the outside. You might have to play with it a bit to find the spot that you like the most (for example my husband likes meats medium/rare and I like them medium well, so I add a couple of minutes to mine)
This is the best cooking appliance I have and I can only imagine how much I will use it in the Holidays to make green bean casserole or sweet potato casserole while the turkey is in the oven! Get one now if you don't have it! You'll love it!

West Bend 78822 Egg and Muffin Toaster Stainless Steel Review

I really like this toaster.I've not had it long but I'm very impressed with the quality.It's not cheapy looking or gimmicky.

It operates very well as just a toaster - for bagels, muffins, and bread.The slots are wide and long - big bread slices fit with no problem.You can also heat up a sausage patty but I have not done this yet.I like the Cancel button which pops the toast up and cancels any egg cooking as well.

I was looking at a similar egg-sausage-toaster unit but there were several reviews that voiced concern about the quality of the non-stick pan for the egg.Several customers complained that it peeled almost immediately.I took a leap of faith with this one since there were no reviews for it at the time, and I have not been disappointed.

The egg dish says to use a non-stick spray even though it appears to be non-stick already.I have been using margarine and it works great. The quality of the non-stick dish looks good to me - I'm not expecting it to peel or degrade unless someone starts using a knife or fork on it!

My appliances are white but I could not find this in white.But the stainless steel is beautiful and I don't mind that it doesn't match.The design itself is cool looking.

I recommend this product! A poached egg and dry toast nearly every day - and it's easy!

I returned 2 of them due to defective design.The first one that arrived had a defective knob which I would have had Delonghi replace but following the enclosed instructions for making toast, the lower element did not come on until well into the cycle so the top burned while the bottom was not toasted at all. I tried wheat bread, raisin bread and frozen waffles on several darkness settings and both rack positions.Although the unit seemed flimsy for $75 for a basic toaster oven, it was one of the few 4 slice (smaller) units and it looked OK on the counter so I had Amazon replace it.The toast function on second one was identical to the first so I returned it too. Delonghi is not a cheap brand; it should do better.Amazon should not carry this model.

At exactly the the three-month mark since purchase, I have to report this is NOT a well-made unit. I'd had trouble with it over the last week, and determined yesterday that the cause was total failure of the lower heating elements. Doesn't matter if I get it repaired or replaced, or I don't. Nothing should fail so totally, so fast. I've retracted my earlier review and dropped this to One Star. My apologies to anyone who relied on this review and purchased this product. See below for all the Good Things I had to say about it and now regret publishing.

I've had this oven for six weeks now. When I purchased it, no one had reviewed it yet, so it was a minor gamble (a friend had an earlier Sanyo 4-slice convection toaster oven, and had nothing but good things to say about it.) In a solo household, there's little need for six or even four slices of toast, but I was looking more for oven replacement than toasting. Still, I like toast, and when you buy a "toaster oven", you know it's going to do some things well, and others not so well. Note: although the manufacturer notes the Temperature Selection ranges from 140°-500°, the only setting which allows for 500° is the Broil setting.

Toast: The Sanyo does best producing toast from thick, soft breads, turned once during toasting; for me, at least, this is a minor inconvenience. The best result was with Arnold's Cinnabon Bread. Rye bread comes out either hot and pale or light brown and totally crunchy; I find that English muffins need a quick broil after their initial toasting. Did I mention I like a nice brown on my toast and especially on English muffins? It does a pretty good job on toasting bagels, although again, if you're fond of brown, a quick top broil might be in order. Note: In no case did I toast more than two pieces of anything; your toasting experience may vary significantly from mine.

Baking: The Sanyo excels at this, with one minor "miss". So far, I've made 'from the can' biscuits (great results); 'from scratch' chocolate chip cookies (quite good, no burnt bottoms); frozen pizza (the built-in pizza mode does a very good job with that, and is also good for reheating pizzeria pie slices); baked potato (no need to turn it over); two-crust apple pie, which came out just fine, although I second-guessed the manufacturer's placement for baking and had to adjust to get the top to brown (note: Believe their placements); and finally, pound cake loaf. The pound cake loaf was the "miss". The cake certainly baked well enough, but due to the location of the heating elements, the side of the loaf facing the glass never got any color. If you can put up with a partly 'blonde' pound cake, no problem. I should mention that I used a Pyrex loaf pan, not metal. Better results might be obtained with a dark metal pan; or, perhaps I should have pushed the pan further back in the oven.

I haven't tried any casseroles, meat loaves, or chickens in it yet, and I haven't used the convection bake, but that will come next. Given the performance so far, I have no reason to expect any problems.

Pros: with six different positions for the baking rack, you have all the control you can want, and the baking pan and pizza pan are great in use. The pizza pan has a very slight lip, so it's also useful under fruit pies to catch any drips. Removing the crumb tray is simple and it is easy to clean, as is the inside of the oven. Yes, it gets hot, but not dangerously so (unless you have cats or small children around, in which case the usual cautions about stoves and ovens apply here.) Caution: Nothing should be stored or even placed directly on top of the oven, whether in use or not; the surface could be marred.

Cons: The broiling pan is quite flimsy and I doubt it will ever lay flat in use.

Bottom line: Read the manual (it's full of helpful details on rack placement and how to use the various features) and you'll have few if any problems with this unit.

Euro-Pro TO140L 6-Slice Toaster Oven Review

The Black & Decker toaster oven that I've owned for at least a decade finally bit the dust, so I had to buy a new one.I loved my B&D toaster oven, and small ones that that are hard to find.I wanted another small one (most of the toaster ovens out now seem to be as large as full-size microwave ovens, and I'm not willing to sacrafice that much counter space), but I also hoped to find one that was slightly deeper so I could bake more things in it.My requirements were simple - just something that will toast bread and bagels and bake small frozen foods such as pizza and fries. Nothing fancy, therefore nothing expensive.

I needed to replace my broken one right away.After searching Macy's, JCPenney's, and Sears and finding very limited choices, I found myself at Target trying to choose between 2 B&D models and this Euro-Pro model, all between $30-35.The B&D ovens seemed so flimsy and cheap I was reluctant to buy one, but the only other "small" toaster oven was a brand (Euro-Pro) that I never heard of. It was taller than the B&D ovens but its footprint was about the same.I liked the way it looked, and it felt solid and well made.The removable crumb tray was also located in the front (another nice feature).So I came home and reviewed the comments here on the 3 models and read so many negative reviews about the B&D toaster ovens I decided to take a chance on the Euro-Pro, even though it lacked reviews.

I've had this for over a week and have used it several times, and it works fine for everything I tried.The toast comes out nice and evenly toasted, bagels and waffles toast fine, I baked a rice dish that came out fine that never would have fit in my old toaster oven.The frozen french fries I tried came out a little burned, even though I did not cook them as long as recommended.I don't broil so I haven't tried the broiler.

My only real complaint is with the timer/toast dial.To toast bread, you set the timer to a number - the larger the number the darker the toast.This timer is like an old-fashioned oven timer that you set to a time and it ticks as it counts down to zero and dings when it reaches zero. At this point it should shut off the toaster oven and your toast should be ready. There are several problems with this button.First of all, the button is all black and it doesn't have an arrow or dot on it, so you can't tell very well what time you are selecting. I got around this by painting a white dot on it with White-Out.Also, the dial shows the times in increments of 10 minutes with no tick marks in between, so you want a number that's not an increment of 10, you have to estimate it.Bagels toast well at around 4 minutes.Another problem is if you select a time < 5, it usually doesn't tick.If it doesn't tick, then it's not counting down and it will never reach zero and never shut off the oven automatically.To get around this, I usually just select a high number > 10, wait for it to start ticking, then move the timer back to the low number I want.Sometimes it stops ticking again and I have to repeat until this finally works. One time I was using the timer and it was ticking happily and then it just stopped midway through.Bottom line:You cannot rely on the timer and/or auto-shutoff to work.I always use the timer on my microwave oven as a backup so if the Euro-Pro's timer doesn't work, I can manually turn it off when the microwave timer beeps.

For the price, it's a decent toaster oven. It toasts; it bakes. If it breaks after a year, at least I didn't spend a lot of money on it ($34 at Target), and I'll have more time next time to research the other brands and possibly order one thru amazon.

DeLonghi EO1200B Large Capacity Toaster Oven, Black Review

This oven is definitely considered large, even if it doesn't appear to at first.I have another DeLonghi oven that is going strong for over 12 years and it is barely 11" wide and just 9" deep.The 6-slice Oven reviewed here easily handles a 13" round pizza, with a special round protrusion in the rear to handle the round pizza shape.By comparison, my old oven is good only for 4 slices of bread.

The 3 dials of the 6-slice oven is the way to go, offering far more control via option to have upper coil only, lower only, and both.I had very good luck with DeLonghi kitchen products.

Its PERFECT for Breads,muffins,cupcakes, cookies, etc!!!BUT, I DON'T use it for ANY greasy foods....Only because the oil (from the meats,chickens,etc)splatters, and SLOWLY gets stuck on the fan part(convection setting), and after a few months,the fan for the Convection oven setting slowly stops rotating at the speed it should.Its difficult to open up, and clean off the blades to the fan also.So, but as far as the oven goes, its great, for ALL PASTRIES!!! Cooks the breads, etc, evenly, and perfectly everytime!!! Pizza works very well in here too! We make our own 12" pizzas and use this oven ALL the time!! As far as the shipping company goes,"CEVA", IT'S AWFUL,AWFUL,AWFUL.*** Amazon should change the shipping company! They were LATE, after I waited way past my delivery time, they told me they were running late, and i had to wait a few hours more. they are NOT punctual at all, and they do not ring the bell.they leave the item at the front door!! No Good!!!

I just bought this toaster oven. My waffles and bread are toasted pretty evenly. A small drawback is that the timer knob is supposed to be turned to twenty and then to the desired time. It's attractive and I do love that four slices of bread or waffles fit easily. It makes feeding kids quicker in the morning. So far, I would recommend this product.
